Sony Blu-ray Recorders
Without a doubt, Sony struggle to do anything wrong, and that is what has placed them so highly on the world appliance map. Their reputation has been built on years of hard work which really have paid off for Japan's foremost electrical company. One of Sony's Unique Selling Points (they have at least a couple), is the durability of their products. All around the UK people might have bought the newest sound format players, but the chances are that they'll have an adaptor to send the sound through the auxiliary channel on their 1970s Sony amplifier. They're the choice of the sound aficionado, which is always a good indicator for us less technically minded mortals.
At the time of press, although Sony have a good range of Blu-ray players, they have yet to produce a Blu-ray recorder, and they've been pipped to the post by their main Japanese rival Panasonic. We are hoping that Sony are not releasing their Blu-ray recorders until they are content that they have produced something that will actually better Panasonic's. If we are honest though, that is quite unlikely, they might be able to do cheaper, but it's doubtful that they'll be able to produce better models (not without going above the current price range anyway). Whatever happens, we are sure that Sony's Blu-ray recorder debut is not far away, so we've created this page in readiness for filling the section with Sony models.
