Panasonic DMR BS750 - Panasonic Blu-ray Recorders
The first in the range and therefore the cheapest, nevertheless, the Panasonic DMR BS750 comes with practically everything you need, later models may have that bit more, but you may not need the bells and whistles, and be happy with the high quality imaging and sound, and perfectly adequate suite of functions on offer here.
With a HDD of 250 GB, internal memory is plentiful, although you may want to free up a bit of space by recording to from HDD to disc, which is a simple and quick task. The actual recording process captures not only full HD quality programmes and films, but it also captures the sound at it's broadcast level (even if it is in Dolby) as well. On top of this, any other features that go out with the recording, such as subtitles, are also captured too.
Although first of the range, it does come with twin tuners, so you don't have to fork out lads of money to be able to record two features simultaneously - this model does it too. And, you can use the set in conjunction with other formats, so it also functions as a home sideshow, as well as a cinema.
You may want to purchase this as you first Blu-ray recorder because it is the cheapest, but you will probably be surprised at how long it will be before you even think of upgrading. If you are lucky, Panasonic will still be running their 'three Blu-ray movies' promotion with this model. Just fill in the form, send it off, and wait for the postman to bring you the freebies. Another reason to consider buying a highly affordable, reliable ,and fully functional Blu-ray recorder - the DMR BS750.

Panasonic DMR BS750 - Review
Does it all in one smart box. Fantastic picture quality. Price now reasonable (half the price of the newer model) so good time to buy (I've been waiting for 12 months). The 3 free blu rays are a great bonus too, they arrived from Panasonic within a week so credit to them for that. Yes the menus are slow, certainly compared to our Panasonic Viera TV, but don't be put off by that.
It's perfectly usable and the annoyance is more than out-weighed by all the other good points. The unit's very busy at the moment, recording the World Cup highlights, Wimbledon highlights, Glastonbury highlights as well as our favourite tv progs. The ability to record all these via the series link is superb + we can sit back and watch at our leisure. So very pleased, docked a star for the slow menus though. By James from Winchester
